Duluth, GA, For Immediate Release — Heroic Event started as a leadership conference to fill the need of leadership growth training in the Metro Atlanta area and has grown into a non-profit event designed to take business owner from seeking success to being significant.
“Too many business owners have a ‘lottery’ mentality. They wait for that someday success to do something for their community or the world,” says Joshua Jarvis, the founder of Heroic Event. “There’s so many things that we can do RIGHT now to change our community and the world if we simply take small actions.“
That’s where the quote, “There’s no such things as Heroes, only Heroic Events.” Jarvis explains that when you analyze heroes all throughout history, it’s their small decisions to do something that changed the way they are viewed in history.
Heroic Event is a unique mashup of motivational leadership training conference, townhall roundtable discussion and a non-profit event. The event has a goal to raise at least $20,000 and has selected two charities. First, through a partnership with Cambodia Outreach, Heroic Event aims to sponsor 8 water wells for 4 villages. Second, closer to home, by partnering with Atlanta Mission Organization, Heroic Event aims to feed Atlanta’s homeless for 1 month!
All of this would be enough, the full day event is packed full of content, with most speakers also doing a Q and A session immediately after. Former Randstad CEO Jim Reese, Chief Significance Officer of Network21, RD Saunders, Real Estate Mogul Marci Fair and Time Magazine’s Cover for ULTRA long distance running, Stan Cottrell are just a few of the speakers.
The event will be held January 17th, 2013 at the Gwinnett Convention Center. 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway #100, Duluth, GA 30097. Tickets sold via eventbrite – http://heroicevent.eventbrite.com
Heroic Event is a non-profit charity designed to ignite the passions of today’s business leaders to provide progress for a better tomorrow.
Looking forward to the opportunity to network with other business owners with a desire to make a significant impact in their community.
Thanks Joshua for putting on the Heroic Event!
WOW! That was one of the most powerful events that I ever attended! I have personally presented in numerous conferences all over the country and I can honestly say that the speakers that presented yesterday were some of the best that I’ve ever heard.
Joshua, AWESOME JOB, GREAT EVENT! Can’t wait until the next one.
